DPA Frank Loyd Jr
DA's office changes story
After 4 meetings with me where they said DPA Loyd accepted the DAGP, they now blame Dreywer
The Prosecutor office assured me:
- They would seek a felony conviction against Seong, given the nature of the unprovoked attack, the severity of my injuries, a cooperating witness, and Mr. Seong's prior conviction for assault against a police officer.
- I did not need to attend preliminary hearings. Had I been informed DPA Loyd Jr. was going to accept a plea deal, I could have objected and shown the judge the gruesome photos of my injuries.
- Call the prosecutors office and ask why Mr. Seong got off virtually free. (808) 270-7777
- In my many calls to the DPA Loyd, he has not once answered his phone or responded to my voice mail (other than once sending me an email saying I could talk to his supervisor DPA J.W. Hupp.)
-
Jae Kyong Seong's prior assault
conviction against a police officer.
- Case ID: 1PC021002749 - STATE OF HAWAII VS JAE KYONG SEONG
- Disposition: Guilty-Jury Verdict-06/23/2003

- The case is a slam dunk.
- You don't need to hire an attorney, just cooperate with the prosecutor.
Per ChatGPT: In Hawaii, if a defendant is granted a Deferred Acceptance of Guilty Plea (DAGP) for a misdemeanor and successfully completes the required terms and conditions, the case is dismissed and the conviction does not appear on their record. Legally, it's as if the crime never occurred, offering the individual a clean slate and avoiding the long-term consequences of a criminal conviction.
